Sensor & Detector Cleaning and Testing
PIR motion detectors are cleaned of dust, spider webs, and debris that degrade detection sensitivity over time. Detector lenses are inspected for physical damage and contamination. Glass break detector microphones are tested with a test instrument that confirms the detector's sensitivity to the correct frequency signature. Door and window contacts are cleaned and inspected for mounting security and gap tolerance. Sensor sensitivity is verified against specification at each position.
Battery Replacement & Panel Servicing
Panel backup batteries are tested under load to verify their actual remaining capacity — not just whether they hold a surface charge — and replaced when capacity falls below reliable service threshold. Wireless device batteries are tested and replaced proactively before low battery conditions generate nuisance alerts or fail to power a device during an alarm event. Panel connections and terminals are inspected for corrosion, and panel firmware is updated where applicable.
Communication Path Verification
Both primary and backup communication paths are tested end-to-end by initiating test signals and confirming receipt at the monitoring center. Cellular signal strength at the communicator is measured. Supervision check-in timing is confirmed within specification. Any communication path degradation or failure detected during testing is addressed during the maintenance visit so the system leaves the appointment in known-good communication condition.
False Alarm Review & Remediation
If the account has generated false alarms since the last service visit, we review the event log to identify the specific zones and conditions involved. Root cause analysis determines whether the false activations are caused by equipment issues, environmental conditions, or user procedure problems. Service Report & Documentation

Reports are retained as the system's service history and are available for insurance verification, compliance audits, or due diligence purposes.
